Do you remember 
my heart stopping in your hands 
when you said goodbye? 

The warm September 
we were rolling in the leaves 
frolicking like kids?

That dark January 
our lips met for the first time 
crystals in our hair?

Glowing up the night
sparks igniting between us
thinking forever?

But embers grow cold 
it was only there and then 
for you, by April

I was history
spirit quiet like the woods  
melting snow angel 

Do you remember
my soul dripping down your arms  
when you waved goodbye?
