time stopped i could see it suspended like a raindrop clinging to a tree branch for dear life i could see time the hands of the clock frozen bird stuck mid tweet pendulum neither here nor there red lights glowing numbers never changing i could taste time the flavor of anticipation humid, pregnant air sticky, salty beads of sweat staying put standing guard on my brow and then, you looked right past me your eyes didn’t even flicker recognition or hope you just glided by as if I were invisible i guess to you i always have been my ashes slink through the hourglass in a never ending loop of disillusion the raindrop fell now a tear you continue without me

This was superb, Boo! The sense of longing and sadness is palpable, and there were so many standout lines.
The part about the pendulum being neither here nor there was one such example. Some truly beautiful writing here!
Fab piece. x
