Boo, this is incredible. I wasn't expecting the turn at the end which makes it really deep, raw and honest. This one really hit me :

"until spring

slips it out of my grasp

and I can run away

again".

Wow, this was an incredible poem to share publicly since it sounds like it's been a while since you published your work. I loved the way it started whimsical and slowly descended into a far darker, more emotional piece.

The ending, with spring pulling the winter knife from your hand was such a powerful image. Like the sun melts it away.
